Belborn present
their new neo-folk style album, forged with passion and shining
evocative spirit, diffusing a sumptuous and dreamy music, and
presented as a natural extension of history and nature's edges.
Authors and mysterious guides of this holy project are Holger
F., Susanne H. and Skadi-Lilja from the german village of Rosenheim.
Holger's voice is fairy and hypnotic, giving lymph and emphasis
to wonderful lyrics by the mystic and ancient themes. Instruments
used are: acoustic guitar, and elegiac keyboards, effected voices.
A references to symbolic icons of the time and his roots, to
soothed biological, holy rhythms, to cynic and immortal nature's
forces, to past and future fights echoes. In "Elite"
arks and harpsichord impress on autumnal canvasses storm's,
in light "Am Ende Aller Tage" a twilight and eternal
fairy tale reveals poisoned and cyclic presages (…das
ziel des lebens ist der tod!). It seems coming out from medieval
Bergman - style tales "Heilger Hain", "Ich Liebe
Sie" and "Bastard" light and saviour. Tracks
"Tod Ist Die liebe", "Neue Dammerung" and
"Du Bist Gott" cherish secularist impulses and holy
banners, by incisive percussions the first, with prophecy in
the eyes the second ( a new life stand up from ruins), brilliant
keyboards and obsessive lyrics urge the walking of the third.
It closes the album "Die Ewige Schlacht" an endless
and restless landscape by the many fights locked in memories
shadows, by suddenly alive and warm dust, by penetrations into
the history's abyss.
Return to blow again extinguished moons, they seem coming back
to domain deepest and bravest instincts, awaken and persuaded
by vigorous and transparent sound that this work can offer.
Belborn proposes a valid research of Nature and Truth’s
values, we are close to full comprehension…
"the goal of neo-folk music is Belborn". |
